Devereaux Hills Winter Guard

Feel the HEAT. We are hot!

My name is Rhonda Cella. I am still trying to figure out who all these kids are and why they call me mom!  I am  the founder of this guard and have now assumed the role of Director. I am looking forward to a new, revamped guard unit this year and we expect to take this guard to new heights this coming season. We have written a really excellent show this year and are stepping it up using new techniques and style.  We are breaking out of the old mold and doing stuff alot different this year.  It is a time for a change, and this will be a great year with alot of changes.  We are looking to a great season as we come to the 2010 year.  As you can tell from the performers page, most of the guard is living with me now and for some reason I hear "MOM" alot.  We have an extremely close unit and love challenges.  We are trying new and exciting things this year and hope to progress as we go!  I has been a tough start as we had several very bad injuries but have come out okay and are ready for performance!

Introducing Michael Rear, a.k.a., Guard Diva.  Michael came to us last year midseason and helped reform this guard.  Michael has been a blessing as things are now running more smoothly with his help!  Michael graduated from Hillcreast High School in 2007, where he spun with them for 4 years.  After graduation, Michael spent one year with Sarejevo where they placed 1st that year within MCCGA.  They were semi-finalist at WGI that year!  We are very happy to have Michael as a performer and on staff.  Michael will be aging out this year, but has every intention of continuing with Devereaux on staff.  Michael his home in Garden City and Michael is a CNA.  Michael hopes to further his medical career as an RN in the future.  We wish him luck!
Amber Cella-Clark rejoins our unit after taking a year off to have her beautiful son Ace.  Amber has been spinning longer than we can remember and she is the goddess of rifles!  Amber is excited about whipping the rifle line into shape this year with correct technique.  This is Amber's age out season also, but as with Michael, she will be returning the following year on staff.  Amber lives with her husband Jon and her son Ace.
Hello, my name is Walter Campbell, a.k.a Sarge! I am chairmen of the board. Retired of the military and served 20 years in the air force. Sarge has been a youth coach for 50 years and enjoy working with kids. Sarge enjoys his time with Devereaux Hills and plans on taking an active roll with the guard this year!
Joe Cella, a.k.a., Dad, is on the Board of Directors and head of the floor crew.  Joe makes it possible for us to be where we need to be at the exact time.  Joe served in the United State Air Force and United States Navy.  Joe lives at home with Rhonda, Sierra, and Lora.  Joe will be taking an active part of the guard this year.  Joe works in civil service for the State of Missouri.
Chris Dougherty, a.k.a., Hey Dude, is part of the board of directors.  Chris will be helping out with floor crew and transportation this year.  Chris makes his home with his son Anthony and we call Anthony, Little Hey Dude.  We value Chris's help with the guard and he has been invaluable at KC Renfest this year as one of our bar tenders.
